"Haven't tried it, but based on these comments, I don't know if I want to, probably go this weekend with the kids, I will cast my vote later," - 3/5/2008 1:07:02 PM

"I tried Bullwinkles for the first time last Friday. It was... disappointing, at best. The tables and booths were so small we could barely fit four people at them. The food was..... not the worst the town, lets put it that way." - 2/27/2008 2:53:35 PM
"I have been to Bullwinkles in Middletown several times and love it! The ribs are the best I've ever had, period. I've tried many other menu items - shrimp, burgers, steaks, tuna and all have been great! I also appreciate the good selection of "side" items. The portions are generous (I almost always end up with a carry out container). The wait staff has always been attentive and has done an excellent job. I will definitely keep going back." - 2/12/2008 3:59:12 PM
"i went opening week, the owners were there saying ow it as unfinished but had to get ome cash to finish. It's small local chain, just a couple locations, which is nice - but it was obviouslly running rather unorganized, it was dark as light were missing or not installed yet, portions were on the small side. The artichoke dip apetizer needed something crunch like a crusty bread or tortilla ships instead of a rather dense and chewey flat bread. The "large" "four layer" carrot cake was only two small layers, and not even what I would consider a big slice at all, and a rip off for $5. I'm hoping they were just having opneing week rush problems." - 12/30/2007 11:47:53 AM
"I thought the menu was well organized and had variety, there seemed to be enough waiters/waitresses and the place looked clean. Service was amongst the best I've seen in the area. Flaws: skimpy portions of meals compared to high price tag, the decor looks like a work in progress, long walk to your table from entrance. Worth visiting but expect to spend at minimum, $12 per person." - 12/29/2007 4:38:25 AM
"I was optimistic going in, and at first glance, the decor is less than to be desired. But its a sports bar, and I am sure with time that will fall into place. We got seated immediately..thank god they got hostesses. Our waiter was John, and he was fantastic. We slugged about 4 soda's quickly and he wised up and brought us a pitcher of soda..since he couldnt keep up with our thirst. I appreciated that and it factored into the tip we left him, along with his sense of humor and good waitering. The menu was rather costly I thought....and their appetizers were boring. We got cheese sticks which we not fantastic for the 599 u pay for 6 of em. I could of got just as good ones at white castle for half the price. I was gonna get ribs till I saw the price. 1899 for a half slab. and i think 2099 for a whole slab. I passed and opted for pulled pork sandwich and wedge fries. My spouse got chicken fingers, wedge fries and a salad. Food was good. The bun my pork came on was grilled and different than the average bun..very tasty. I thought my spouses chicken fingers were a little peppery but none the less decent. it cost up 30 bucks for appetizer, 2 sodas, and our meals along with the side salad. Not bad. I think the appetizer menu could be a lil less expensive and more variety. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and everyone seemed to get their food very timely. However, I find the BBQ much much better at Yardbirds in Trenton and I would likely drive the extra few miles to go there....if it were a non busy time of the day because there is hardly any seating at yardbirds. I would go with friends to Bullwinkles...for an occasion...but likely not to be my first choice..not because of anything in particular...the food was good, service good, just mostly because of the cost of the meals. Dont get me wrong, its comparable to Applebees and TGI Fridays..I just can get a good meal at Fazolis and be just as satisfied." - 12/28/2007 5:56:52 PM
