"Have any of you commenting on lousy customer service, been in the store lately? I was there twice on 10-8-10 and although the store itself could use some sprucing up, the employees were more than friendly, Much like the service you get in the pricey mall stores, as they walked past us, asked if we needed some help finding anything. Not just one employee, but several throughout the store...I'll be back, I enjoy bargain hunting and I love friendly, helpful customer service :)
"While it is true that the store itself looks like crap, I have found plenty of bargains and will continue to shop there. You have to really look at what you're getting but many items I've purchased were in good condition and maybe just even needed a little fixing....for the price, that's ok. They have always been good about anything I've returned, but you'll need to make sure you use your store credit within 2 weeks or you lose your money altogether." - 6/26/2010 8:43:09 AM
"Every weekend, I shop at the Grandview Weekend Outlet store buying at least $50.00 each time I go into the store. I enjoy shopping at this store because of the selection offered, especially on tools and furniture.
I was in this store on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 5:00pm and my daughter was really excited about a motorized car on display, but it did not have a battery charger. The Assistant Manager said for us to let her try it out that the battery was fully charged before we buy it and also told us we would be able to get a replacement battery charger at Target.
Well, I called my father on my cell phone for him to check on the internet if I could get a replacement charger before buying this for my daughter, and my father said I could get it online for about $35.00.
Then, the Assistant Manager again came over to my daughter and literally told my 3 year old to get out of the car and for my wife to put the car back where you got it in a defensive, very rude manner. My daughter immediately started crying. We did nothing except do as the Assistant Manager requested that we try it out before buying it. My daughter tried this car out for about three minutes before the Assistant Manager again approached us, which is exactly what I wanted my daughter to do to ensure it worked properly. Yes, it happened just as stated. If the Assistant Manager came over and asked if my daughter liked the car, that the Assistant Manager wanted her to try out only a few minutes ago, I would have said take it to the front while we continue our shopping.
A few seconds before the Assistant Manager did this, we had decided to purchase this car, along with a water filter, a space heater, and a dresser. We had our tax refund in hand and was going to spend about $450.00 at the store today, but since the Assistant Manager's lack of customer service, we immediately walked out of the store and went to Big Lots and bought everything above, except for the car. Because of your Assistant Manager's lack of Customer Service, we will never be back to your store ever again. There are other outlet stores in Ohio that will appreciate your business and offer better prices. Don't waste your hard earned money at Grandview Outlets." - 2/22/2010 11:10:45 AM
"we were in their this past Sunday their was a lady in glasses who was working at the register she came out and followed us out my mother who is in a wheelchair she followed us out and told my mom she was white trash and wanted to fight her i really think that is poor business for this store that needs to be condemned when u have pools catching water i will not go back they are very rude people" - 4/25/2010 3:03:39 PM
"This place is ridiculous! Pools of moldy, nasty water everywhere! Rude employees! Products on the shelves are not priced & then they refuse to sell them entirely! Then whatever you do buy is broken, dirty & missing parts! What a joke!" - 1/22/2010 2:24:37 PM
"I agree the customer service could be better, the roof does leak, it has a funny smell, it is dirty, and they do sell some broken junk. BUT, if you use a little common sense, you can find some AMAZING deals. I have never before seen brand new items being sold for what I paid at this store. Shopping at a new, dry, clean, friendly store costs $$. If the owner was to fix all of these issues - we would pay higher prices. It all comes down to how important it is to you to find a great deal." - 12/28/2009 10:54:20 AM
"I just moved to Trenton and found this store by accident. I am an avid deal finder, I love clearence sales and refuse to pay retail for anything. I love this store for many reasons: It's huge! Not only is it very large but they have the products to fill this space, a variety of products too. This outlet is able to keep prices extremly low...yes, they do this by not turning the heat on full blast in the winter and not fixing the leaking roof. I'm not too good to shop here though!! After my first visit I called my sister right away to let her know what a gem I had found tucked away in Middletown and warned her not to bring her children with her to shop here because of the water on the floors etc. If you are too stuck up to shop here, don't bother trying but if you love a deal get yourself to this store ASAP and get fab deals on furniture, shoes, clothes, home goods, flooring, toys and anything else you could think of and prepare to spend hours finding incredible deals that you can be proud of!" - 12/27/2009 11:53:59 AM
"i buy from there some stuff is worth buying if you got kids you know whats broken or not the electronics thats your fault if you buy fom them go to walmart and buy it new if you dont wanna buy from them (i say keep on buying) yes the roof does leak everywhere and yes there is pools of water everywhere (i think they should buy the k-mart building sense it is going out of buissness in middletown" - 11/10/2009 9:49:56 AM
"This place is disgusting, and has people with very poor attitudes working there. The lady who was checking us out today was berating a man when we entered the store. She was speaking to him like he wasn't even a person, and being very racist. Upon checking us out at the register she said nothing but tell me the amount owed. My brother then told her she needed an attitude adjustment, which set her head spinning. She was yelling and acting ridiculous. When my brother told her she was being rude, she said "oh I can be ruder." Which last time I checked "ruder" is not a word. If you enjoy interacting with white trash women and buying broken appliances, then this is definitely the place for you!" - 6/6/2009 3:25:24 PM
"I'd love to go one day and not get rained on, INSIDE. They had a pool full of brown water ready to go for the kids! Bought two paper shredders there, didn't work at all. Of course there is no refund, only store credit. Great, i can buy more useless crap that doesn't work and make it a weekly trip of returning the old useless crap for new useless crap!" - 4/7/2009 2:37:56 PM
"It was disgusting. I can't believe OSHA or the Health Dept hasn't shut them down. There were overflowing buckets of brown, moldy water, broken flooring and the place is filthy. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Shame on Middletown for letting this business continue!" - 1/30/2009 12:15:33 PM
"i just cant bring myself to go there a 3rd time. I tried it once..then twice and either time I found nothing. I just dont know how they stay in business. its like one big garage sale with nothing to find. if u dont mind outfitting your kids in open diaper packages i suppose this would be your cup of tea" - 10/28/2007 7:55:17 PM
"$300+ of MATCHED Fieldcrest 400 Thread Count Egyptian cotton designer bedding, duvet, cotton shams and silk shams (from target) for $17. Yes some stuff is garbage, but it's not katrina-junk it's returns, and clearnace from stores. Target for instance doens't keep open returns, places like this get it. You have to be a good shopper but there are deals to be had." - 10/24/2007 12:18:33 PM
"This place just plain sucks!!!! Junk junk junk, and more... JUNK. When they very first open you could get some good name brand stuff there, at really good prices. That lasted about 2 months, now all they have is broken JUNK or nice stuff that is hugely overpriced." - 8/12/2007 4:05:32 PM
