"I like Lowes. I like it much better than Home Depot. The only negative things I have to say about Lowes are the long check out lines (one checkout lane open on a busy Saturday is not good) and I wish they had a rental truck like Home Depot does. We don't own a truck and I hate paying the $60.00 fee for delivery but would pay $19.95 to rent the truck for an hour." - 8/3/2007 8:45:45 PM
"Lowe's customer service just plain sucks! While making a pickup of some lawn furniture, the lady at the customer service desk acted like it was killing her to do anything AND that she couldn't handle more than one task at a time - they guy from the seasonal department acted like he was in shock when I asked him how I was going to load this huge box on the truck by myself, thank God it wasn't too heavy..." - 8/3/2007 3:20:57 PM
"Lowes just plain sucks. Their plumbing department is a joke. All those little boxes full of items? None are what they say they are. Just bits and pieces all mixed up, most with no price stickers. I complain everytime I go there but the employees just give me a sob story about how so and so just quit or I get a "vendor" who says it's not her problem. I don't want to hear employees complain, I want them to say I'm sorry and they'll extend my comments to the manager. Management is apparently the problem.
Their special order departments don't have enough knowledgable help and the one person who does know the job is always "at lunch". Exasperating!
Their lumber is often warped and the molding & trim inventory is all messed up.
Thier lawn & garden dept is pretty good. I can usually find help.
The checkout lines are the pits. I should not have to wait 15-20+ minutes to buy a product. Hire more cashiers. Why sell it if you won't let us buy it?" - 7/26/2007 2:09:24 PM
"The local Lowes is okay, they typically have what I need and if I need something fast I'll go to them. What I absolutely HATE about them is their lines. Sometimes I'll wait 15-20 minutes just to get checked out, it's crazy." - 7/26/2007 1:55:26 PM
